Boxing fans as well as MMA fans would agree that Floyd is hesitant to fight Mcgregor. Manny is interested to fight McGregor given in one condition, they have to fight in the boxing ring and it's all about boxing and that Manny is okay fighting Mcgregor.
“I don’t know if they are taking it seriously. It’s on the news but I don’t know if it will happen,” Pacquiao told Fox Sports News 500 in an exclusive interview.
Pacquiao, however, is open to the possibility of fighting McGregor himself if the Mayweather bout falls through, saying he’d have no problem stepping in the ring with him — on one condition.
“In boxing? In boxing (I would) but not in (UFC), just boxing,” he said.
Asked whether he thought McGregor could last 12 rounds with him, Pacquiao said: “I’m sure he will be moving around.
“I didn’t see it [footage of Conor sparring]. But if we are talking about Conor McGregor and boxing, it’s different. Boxing is different than MMA.”
Maybe Conor was getting spanked in sparring by guy ranked 33th in the world and Pacquiao is clearly number 2 behind Floyd. Manny would demolish any UFC star in boxing ring.
Manny needs a life, Mayweather has better things to do he needs to realize he's not worth coming out of retirement for.
There is much more to it. Yes boxing is a lot different than UFC and McGregor is more of a on his feet fighter, still I would say he would get winded by the 8th or 9th round and just get piss pounded. My opinion if he would have any shot at winning it would have to be a early round KO.
We'll just hope that the fight between Pacquiao vs Mcgregor would happen before Manny retires.
