This is a rematch fight between IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (28-0-1, 25 KOs) and former WBC 175lb champion Jean Pascal (30-3-1, 17 KOs) is in the works for January 30th on HBO Championship Boxing from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada. It's gonna be a lights out!
Sergey Kovalev is a first-rate slugger with an awesome chin. Pascal is a tough out, as few fighters have lasted into the later rounds against Kovalev, but he can't match Krusher's power. It's better for Pascal to try to make his considerable chin last a full fight while getting his shots in from the outside. When Kovalev has had to chase boxers, it usually doesn't last long. He's not often tested in the later rounds. What's your prediction?
Jean Pascal, now training with Freddie Roach, will get another chance on Saturday to knock Kovalev off his pedestal, but it will take an incredibly sharp performance to pull off that feat. What's your fight prediction?
There is genuine hatred between both fighters in the build up to the return – Kovalev won the first fight with an eighth round stoppage in March last year – and it could be even spicier second time around with Kovalev’s WBO, IBF and WBA Super World titles on the line again.
It will be a good interesting fight to look for. So, staytuned for more fight updates and live streaming of Sergey Kovalev vs Jean Pascal 2 including fight results and fight replay.
